Regularly optimizing your website is key to long-term growth and development of your business. One of the most important factors in attracting visitors and offering a pleasant user experience is your ability to constantly keep up with the expectations of users, and accordingly create newer and better versions of your website.
Lately, one of the things that Google pays the most attention to is the speed of your website. If a website takes too long to load and display its content, most users will leave before they even see what's on it. Google notices these things, and if it collects information that users aren't interested and immediately abandon your site, it will give your page a lower ranking, making it harder for new visitors to find it. Therefore, it's important that you're able to regularly check the speed of your website and resolve any related issues in a timely manner, if they arise. Some of the tools that offer this type of analysis are Google Page Speed, Gtmetrix, Pingdom and others.
If the analysis shows that there are issues with the speed of your website, one of the reasons could be the images, which can really weigh it down. There are tools like resmush.it or SmushIt Plugin, which optimize the images without compromising their quality in the process.
Another cause for problems with page speed could be the code itself or'caching'. When caching the page, the "weight" of the page is greatly reduced and therefore it loads faster. Some of the tools that resolve issues with code or caching, without compromising the website's functionality in the process, are Fast Velocity Minify and WP Super Minify for code minification, W3 Total Cache and WP Fastest Cache for clearing cache. We typically use WP Rocket Pro which has proven to be a great choice for automatically optimizing WordPress / WooCommerce sites especially in combination with Redis which does Object caching.
Optimization tools, or SEO tools, make it easy to maintain a website, by automating many of the tasks that you would otherwise have to do manually. The most important thing is to perform regular анализи and use the results to improve your website and boost its traffic.
- Advanced filters in Google Analytics,
- A Goal made of several different goals,
- Get additional information about your sales process (funnel)
A large part of those who want to learn about Google Analytics, don't have access to a real company account, which is why they find it difficult when they watch or follow trainings, as they cannot immediately apply their knowledge to a real account.
Many of them are not aware that there is a Google Analytics Demo Account, which collects information from the Google Merchant store, where they sell Google related things. This account is real and fully functional and can be experimented with (naturally, with certain limitations). We use this when we're doing our trainings so that all students can observe the same data.
To use this demo account, you need to have or open a Google Analytics Account, and import the demo account into your Google Analytics.
The link and explanation for using this demo account can be found on this link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6367342?hl=en#access
Instagram is a social network that has become even more popular after being bought by Facebook.
As a social network, it is focused on sharing images and videos by its users, and so the feature to share images and videos is present on mobile apps for phones and tablets, but not on computer browsers.
Many Instagram Users download images on their computers to edit them, and then upload them on a mobile device for posting.
This little trick will help you post directly from your PC.
We use Google Chrome, but you can use any other browser similarly.
All you need to do is right-click anywhere on the page in Google Chrome, select 'Inspect' (or press Ctrl+Shift+I) and a console will appear on the right side of your Google Chrome browser.
Above the page that you're currently viewing, you will be able to choose which mobile device you want your Chrome to simulate, so that you can see how the page will look on a mobile device. Choose the one that's suitable to you, Iphone for IOS, or Galaxy for Android.
After selecting a mobile device, log in to Instagram in the same window, and you will have the option to post directly from Chrome by clicking on the plus at the bottom of the screen, just like on a mobile device. By clicking on the plus, you will first need to choose an image or a video that you have saved on your PC and that you would like to post. You will also have an option to edit the image and add filters if you want.
By constantly improving the platform, Facebook offers more and more options for creating better ads.
The latest feature we tested that has an excellent effect is Image Overlay, which allows you to add dynamic parameters to your images like price, price with strikethrough, discount percentage and text - free shipping. For this to work, you need to have created a Product Catalog and a campaign goal: Product catalog sales.
We created a retargeting campaign for Sport.MK and the results after 3 days are the following: Relevance score: 10, CTR – 16.69%, CPM – €0.64, CPC – €0.004.
Surely these results are partly due to retargeting, but now with overlays, the product images are much more eye-catching, especially if you apply a contrasting color in comparison to the original picture.
Additional features that can be modified are:
- background shape (rectangle, circle or triangle),
- background color,
- location of the image overlay
- currently there is only one available font: Dynads Hybrid.
A picture is worth a thousand words!
This is especially true on the internet when people quickly browse through content and don't have time to read the texts you would post. An additional benefit is if the picture is eye-catching enough to increase your page views, CTR, etc. Here are some popular online image editors:
CANVA – (www.canva.com) One of the easiest online tools for photo manipulation is Canva, which is a free tool with just some restricted features that are only available in the paid version. With this online tool, you're able to easily add elements, pictures, etc. while defining a custom image size or choosing a predefined one.
PABLO – (https://pablo.buffer.com) Another online tool is Pablo by Buffer. It has slightly less options than Canva, but if you want to add text to your image, then this tool will do the job.
SNAPPA – (https://snappa.com) An excellent editor, but with bigger limitations than the free version of Canva. A good selection of templates, and an ability to transform any picture in many different formats for various social networks.
ADOBE SPARK – (https://spark.adobe.com) With Spark, Adobe definitely wants to get in a race with online editors. When it comes to professional offline image editing, Adobe is unchallengeable with Photoshop, but with the ever increasing number of free online editing sites, it's only logical that they come out with their own online editor.
PIXLR – (https://pixlr.com) is an online editor with a large number of options. It has an interface similar to Photoshop. Since many of its options and fonts are free, you will get more ads than with other tools. You will be able to edit images from your hard disk, from an URL or from Facebook Library. Pixlr offers 2 additional options for fast image editing: Pixlr Express (for quick photo retouches ) and Pixlr O-Matic (for adding interesting retro effects).
AVIARY – (https://www.aviary.com) is another tool by Adobe. Aside from online editing on your computer, you can also download their free app on your smartphone and design and edit pictures there. It's good for fast and simple editing.
PicMonkey – (https://www.picmonkey.com) is a tool that offers many features, but you have to pay for it. There are plenty of options, however if you don't want to pay for image editing, then other free options are better.
DESYGNER – (https://desygner.com) is a free tool for editing pictures that also has a paid version for more options.
FOTOR – (https://www.fotor.com) another great online editor. The free version includes ads (naturally 🙂).
BEFUNKY – (https://www.befunky.com) is an online editor that enables you to edit pictures from your computer, Facebook, Google Drive or Dropbox. There are plenty of features like Layers, Effect, Frames, Overlays, etc.
PRO-tip: If you are frequently doing online image editing, then it's best to create a Project Template that you can save for future projects. This way, you will make your work process significantly quicker.
It is statistically proven that by including symbols, signs and emojis, your post will generate more interaction and clicks.
To see the all of the symbols and emojis that are available, you can check this link: https://www.piliapp.com/facebook-symbols/
If you use FB Messenger or Chat, you have a smaller selection of symbols that you can use. Choose Messages & Chat from the left upper menu to see all available options.
If you want to find out why you keep seeing an ad, or you want to check who your competition is targeting with a Facebook ad, you can follow this advice.
On a paid ad (labeled with Sponsored) click the three dots in the upper right corner. You will see a dropdown menu with an option that says 'Why am I seeing this?' When you select this option, you will get information about the interest of the target audience, and/or information about the demographic.
If you want to see your competitors' ads, like and follow their FB page and regularly visit their website.
